Just south of Rockville, Missouri is the Osage River floodplain. For ducks migrating along the western side of the Mississippi Flyway, the Osage basin is a mecca. On the north end - the higher ground - you'll find plenty of pin oaks and bur oaks to rain acorns and support a treestand. And with the arrangement of water features, it's not hard to find well-used trails and funnels on which to set up and wait for a wall hanger to cruise by.
